Anatomy
When not morphed, they have the same appearance as their base species (human, elf, dwarf, orc, etc.) When they choose to change, their bodies morph into a cross between their animal type and their base species. This is not a complete change. They still appear mostly of their base species, but facial features, hands, feet and chest area come closer to the animal.
They do not change size, and while they are in complete control of their changes, making the change takes a significant toll on them until they have a long rest.
Ancestry
Ursus – Has bear-like features when morphed; Canid – Dog/Wolf-like features when morphed; Rattus – Rat-like features when morphed; Felinus – Cat-like features when morphed

Growthrate
Nuvolycans do not start to manifest their abilities until they hit adolescence. At that time, their mastery of the change is erratic and they may change due to an emotional change. This has the effect of weakening them, and most learn very quickly to stay in control. Adolescence starts at about 12-14 years of age.
Young adults are generally L4-L7 and are more mature than their adolescent selves. Their ages are from 15-23
Mature adults are 24-55 years old and L8-L20.
Elder Nuvioycans are more than 55 years old, and move slower than their younger counterparts. They can live to 150 years old.
Perception
Darkvision – Can see in dim light within 60 ft. as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Changing – Nuvolycans can change in and out of their alter form, but it takes a significant toll. The first time they change, it reduces their hit points by 1d4 (5) each time, cumulatively. For example, the first time they shift, they lose 1d4 (5). The second 2d4 (11), the third time they lose 3d4 (19), etc. Because of this, Nuvolycans must be very careful as morphing can dramatically (and perhaps fatally) drain their strength. Only available after L3. After a short rest, 1d8(6) is restored. After a long rest, all HP are restored.
