Kingdom of Orsholon

Orsholon is the smallest and wealthiest of the Nine Nations. It is also the one with the most stable history. The royal family has been in place since before The Gathering. Through the course of centuries, wise and shrewd leadership has resulted in a growth in trade and wealth. Those who live near the capitol city of Orsholon benefit from this wealth, but even those farthest from the capitol see benefits such as infrastructure improvements and a stable economy, as well as safety of a well-equipped army.

Along the Port Road the village of Tremer is a popular stop for travelers and merchants alike. The port of Lawcranegives Orsholon access to countries like Dangoang and Chadigartu which are much more difficult to reach by road.

In the northeast corner of the kingdom lies the Muioqa Desert, a vast arid mix of sand and badlands that forms a fairly impassible barrier.

The country has an abundance of timber as well as an easily accessible port (Lawcrane). There is some mining in the northwest, producing ore, precious minerals and some gems. There was mining in the Dead Hills of blackglass , but the flow of goods from that area appears to have suddenly ended about 10 years ago.

The entire country has a population of approximately 27,000 citizens, of which 15,000 are in Orsholon City and another 6,000 in Lawcrane.

The largest population is Arnathian human, but there are substantial populations of dwarves, elves, and other species of humanoid. There are also orcs and kobolds, as well as Abominations

Since The Gathering, Orsholon has been the center of diplomacy for Arnathia. The royal family acts as a mediator for disputes, often called upon by other nations to help settle diplomatic matters, even when they are not involved. They are on good terms with the majority of the other nations.

The High Court of Orsholon adjudicates the laws of the land, and there is a satellite court in Lawcrane to assist in matters nearer the court. Cases are brought to the Lower Courts unless they involve a crime against the state or physical harm. The royal ruler has the power to overturn any ruling if they should so desire and has final say. This, however is exceedingly rare.

Peace through good acts and wise leadership. They look to always be in the forefront of keeping the peace in the Nine Nations.

The country is ruled by a king and queen. There are ministers of education, infrastructure, trade, education and defense. The king also has a personal aide/advisor.
